General duty of a business analyst is to analyze the business. Research business analyst plays a little bit different role individuals must have adequate knowledge in doing professional market research through modern and traditional methods. Primary responsibilities include end to end market research and help in developing new product through product forecasting.
What a Research business analyst should do?
- Ability to do market research on products and Ability to forecast products based on market research and able to evaluate them and decide on which product will prosper well in the market.
- Gather data from news, business magazine and compile it to an short summary and send it to the team through email/fax.
- Ability to track products that have been recently launched and analyze them for any modifications in the strategy.
Skills and requirements
- Must have a Bachelor degree, if jobholder has a business degree that will be great.
- Must have at least two years of market research experience and should have adequate knowledge in taking decisions according to the market research.
- Good communication skills and sound interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate, develop relationships between internal and external customers and gather information.
- Ability to work efficiently on pressure and ability to work on changing environments.
- Willing to travel either domestic / international it varies according to each company.
